Baruch Battlefield Report: Week 2 Wrap-Up!
Hold onto your scarves, footy fanatics, because the Fall 2025 Saturday 7v7 season at Baruch Playground is absolutely buzzing with drama, dazzling goals, and more twists than a pretzel! We're only two weeks in, but the pecking order is starting to take shape, and what a shape it is!
League Leaders Light Up The Pitch!
Dominating the early proceedings are the absolute titans, Liquorpool FC! These lads are not just sipping success; they're guzzling it down! Their opening day 4-1 thrashing of Milkers FC was a pure masterclass, demonstrating their attacking prowess. Then, just last weekend, they kept their perfect record intact with a staunch 2-0 victory over newcomer heavyweights, RLS Boys. If they keep this up, opponents might need a designated driver just to get them off the field! They’re sitting pretty at the top, making every match an absolute spectacle of el futbol.
Who's Hot? Who's Not?
Right on their heels, creating a fabulous ferment of performance, are The Guinditos. These fiery players bottled lightning in their opening fixture, delivering a breathtaking 9-2 demolition of RVC Footy! That's not just a win; that's a statement! They followed that up by expertly preserving their clean sheet, posting a tidy 3-0 win against Milkers FC, leaving their opponents feeling a bit sour. The way these players are blossoming, it's clear they’re far from a forgotten fruit on the pitch.
Surprises and Struggles!
Now, let's talk about some curveballs! Filton FC, for instance, turned heads with a clinical 4-0 shutout victory against perennial contenders, Galácticos, right out of the gate! Talk about a shockwave! However, the Galácticos struggled to launch any real offence in week two, suffering a further 1-5 drubbing at the hands of RVC Footy. Ouch. These 'Galacticos' haven't exactly been galactic in their performances just yet, but there's a long season to right the ship. Meanwhile, RVC Footy, after that initial humbling, clearly took the pitch with some fire in their bellies, proving they have plenty of grit after all, not just a bunch of fancy moves! As for Milkers FC, they've had a tough couple of outings, but remember, the cream always rises to the top, eventually. There's plenty of fußball left to play under the bright lights of this urban jungle!
